Part of the program of Lanterna Mágica Festival is dedicated to the animation market of the state of Goiás. For this, the session “History of Animation in Goiás” is held, which will bring together the main directors of the segment, on a historical screening of their finalized short films. After the session, will be realized the debate “Market of Animation in Goiás: Perspectives and Reality”, where the Goiás producers, directors and animators will meet to discuss and analyze the directions that the Goiás market has been taking. Are also invited participants from other states to make their external views, as well the debate is opened to public.
The animation and audiovisual market in Goiás is growing up year by year, with an expectation promising future for the state. Recently, the GoFilmes - Goiás Film & TV Producers Association released a study informing that are 57 production projects, in different stages of production, between feature films, series and telefilms, being executed with secured financing. Of this number, 7 projects are of animation genre, which show a great growth in the area and increases the importance to debate about the market.
Lanterna Magica will promotes actions with full support for the animators from Goiás, with the purpose of creating an internal and external network among the workers of the genre.
